THE VILLA
Yes, this is the view.
Footprints is a large detached 5 bedroom seafront villa with private pool in Viganj, Croatia. It originately dates from the 19th century and was a former sea captains residence. Enjoying a magnificent position right on the seafront, with a lovely south-westerly facing panorama and its own large private pool, the villa has pamoramic views to the island of Korcula.
Inside, the villa has a large kitchen, separate lounge and dining room.
Outside, the long seafront terrace has dining for 10, in the shade of the villas own orange tree and lounge seating from which to view the azure Adriatic, metres from the front door.
In the rear courtyard is the private pool, with loungers, a further stone dining table for 10 and large stone BBQ.
Included are: villa towels, pool towels, adults bath robes, hair dryers in all rooms, super fast wireless internet. UK TV, air conditioning.

THE LOCATION- Viganj Village
Footprints Villa sits in the heart of the beautiful village of Viganj, just + 90 minutes from Dubrovnik airport (transfers arranged, starting from £14 per person - based on 8 guests in one van). Viganj has it's own web site, so for more specific local information - just search 'viganj'.
Adjacent are the villages of Kuciste, Perna and the town of Orebic, and across the water (accessable via the little foot ferry that leaves the quay just 150m from the villa in peak months) is the stunning mini-city of Korcula (pictured right). Korcula is of course accessible in all low season months via the hourly ferry that docks 10 minutes way in Orebic.
The villa is the ideal base for simply relaxing, or cycling, walking, sailing, kayaking, winetasting (this is Croatia's wine region) and certainly enjoying the regions famed cuisine.
If you're inclined to just soaking up the sun, the vista of all the kites and sails darting across the bay is a delight to enjoy with a glass of something cold in hand, viewed from the terrace of the villa. Or by the private courtyard pool.
The village has many restaurants, most opening in June to September. In the quieter months, there are lovely places to eat no more than a 5 minute drive away, and we arrange taxis for such occasions.
THE HOME OF WATERSPORTS
Viganj and the neighbouring seaside villages are famed worldwide for their wind surfing and kite boarding.

There is no need for car hire when visiting Footprints, as airport transfers, and excursion transport services are readily available. Just ask for details upon booking.
Ahead of your arrival, why not take advantage of our free arrival day grocery shopping service - just supply a list of the basic items you require for your first evening and all will be awaiting you. The only cost is the amount shown on the receipt.
The village has a well stocked shop for specific items you may wish to choose personally and there is a large supermarket in our nearest town for your 'big shop'!
Further, when there, the experienced villa manager can assist with local boat charters, cycle hire, walking tours (the village has the backdrop of Mount I'lla - larger that the UK's tallest mountain, Scarfell!), restaurant suggestions, taxis etc.
